We purchased our 1st aera-vator with seed box six years ago and were very satisfied with its preformance. We were able to alleviate compaction on different sports fields that other aerators couldn’t even penetrate, all they would do is bounce on the surface of the field. The constant vibrating and rotation of the shaft results in exceptional soil shattering and seedbed preparation. The gear system set up for calibration of different seed distribution is simple and unbelievably accurate. Since then we’ve traded our older AE60 for the new UA60 with inner-changeable shafts. The solid tine shaft has an additional 50% more tines and loosens and shatters the soil tremendously with one pass. The multi-tine shaft does an unbelievable job of seedbed preparation in any instance with or without aeration and is not invasive or aggressive to turf that just needs over seeding. The changes that were made with the seed distribution system of only being dispensed while the machine is in motion as opposed to using an electric motor to manipulate the seed dispensing. This makes the over seeding process a “no brainer”. And once again the gear system used for calibration of most seeds of different counts is right on. Take care of your investment and it will last a life time!
